I grew up in Carbondale, Colorado, lived in Boise, Idaho for 10 years, and now I am based in San Luis Obispo, CA (on the Central Coast of California) where I teach classes, lead workshops, bring together amazing speakers, and interact with people who want to put my work in their home or business…
I am a lifelong entrepreneur who turned “Professional” in 2020. This allows me to spend 90 or so days a year in the field and has taken me to all 7 continents. While I enjoy travel and exploration it is often the places I get to return like the Canadian Rockies, High Sierra, or Desert Southwest of the US that hold the most value for me on my creative journey.
My primary way of interacting with others is through Nature Photography Classes where I host a regular speaker series bringing in the very best nature photography teachers and educators. Through this work I give back 10% of the income (not profits, the gross amount we take in) through the Inspired Creator.
I work daily on my mission to “help nature photographers, who are interested in deeper connections, create more impactful images, so they can confidently and consistently express themselves.” It is my belief that we choose the craft of or the appreciation of photography to deepen our connection to ourselves, others, or the natural environment. Through this journey my hope is to engage people into their natural environment and deepen their appreciation of the beauty and the opportunities that exist to protect this amazing place we call earth.
